Obviously we are getting old because this year a "good time" for New Year's Eve was for us to stay home and just hang out. Of course we do have a kiddo to consider now, but either set of grandparents were willing to watch him if we wanted. But, we opted to stay in. Alex, Katie, & Darac all came over to bring in the New Year with us and they all stayed the night so no one would have to worry about driving. We picked up some YUMMY Papa Murphy's pizza (which if you've never had, you have GOT to try it!). And we had lots of snackies to munch on through out the evening.
We played Guitar Hero, watch the ball drop in NYC on tv, stayed warm in front of the fire, the boys played darts in the garage (though it was FREEZING out there), and just hung out and had a great time together. Connor fought going to sleep so we didn't get him down till nearly 11:30pm (perhaps he was wanting to ring in the New Year with us too!) Then at midnight we toasted with a bottle of champagne!
